VmailFix
VmailFix™ is a Freeware application for Windows Mobile devices that allows you to
clear Voicemail notification messages on your Pocket PC. This is useful
where Voicemail notification messages are not automatically removed after
retrieving your voicemails from your phone service provider.
Note: VmailFix is currently in Beta Release. Prior to
public release VmailFix has been successfully tested on a Palm Treo 750 on the
Australian Vodafone GSM network. Please install and use at your own
risk. We value your feedback and suggestions.
What does VmailFix do?If you have a Pocket PC or Windows Mobile device, you may find that your voicemail notification does not disappear after listening to your message and dismissing the notification. If a second voicemail arrives, it is possible you will overlook it by assuming the notification relates to the first message. Until now, the only way to clear the voicemail notification was to change Registry entries in your Pocket PC by hand, which was a time consuming and error prone process. VmailFix allows you to clear your voicemail notification with the simple click of a button. InstallationTo download and install VmailFix, follow the steps below: 1. Prior to installing VmailFix, you will need to download and install the Microsoft .NET Compact Framework 2.0 (Service Pack 2) onto your Pocket PC. 2. Known issues1. Tapping Done shuts down the VmailFix application completely, unlike typical Windows Mobile applications that stay running in the background. This is by design. 2.
